EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Cultural Arts Commission meeting on December 23, 2026 will fall the night before Christmas Eve When this holiday proximity occurred last year (December 24, 2025), Commissioners opted to cancel and re-convene as regularly scheduled in January.
RECOMMENDATION
Due to holiday proximity, there is unlikely to be sufficient business to support a meeting December 23, and the City’s holiday closure that follows ensures that any follow-up from the meeting wouldn’t begin until after New Year’s Day. Staff recommends cancelling the December meeting and re-convening at regularly scheduled meeting on January 27, 2027.
