EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City Council, at their regular meeting of November 5, 2024, directed staff to return with possible charter amendment related to “publish”.
The City Council, at their regular meeting of July 9, 2024, directed staff to return and discuss charter amendment as recommended by the report of the Charter Review Advisory Committee dated July 1, 2024.
The Charter Review Advisory Committee, at their regular meeting of June 27, 2024 reviewed the following sections of the City Charter that mention the word “publish”:
• Article IX, Section 9.15- Ordinances, Publication
• Article XVII, Section 17.9- Budget Hearing And Adoption
• Article XIX, Section 19- Public Works, Contracts
• Article XIX, Section 19.5- Legal Notices, Contract For Publication
