EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On August 27, 2020 the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) Board approved the North Redondo Beach Bikeway (NRBB) Extension- Inglewood Ave, Job No. 41260 (Project) and allocated $200,000 of Regional Measure M funds for Project design. Subsequently, the LACMTA Board approved $1,535,000 of funding, for right of way acquisition at the corner of Grant Avenue and Inglewood Avenue and additional Project design. This funding was supported by the Infrastructure Working Group of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG). The right of way acquisition is complete. The proposed amendment is needed to extend the grant funding to June 30, 2024 to continue design.

BACKGROUND
Measure M is a one-half cent sales tax approved by Los Angeles County voters in November 2016 to meet the transportation, highway, and transit needs of Los Angeles County. The City of Redondo Beach received $200,000 from LACMTA in Measure M Highway Program funds for the NRBB Extension as endorsed by the SBCCOG.

Subsequently, on September 22, 2022, the LACMTA Board approved an increase in funding of $1,535,000 for right of way acquisition and additional design, for a total project budget of $1,735,000. The City Council approved the funding Agreement on February 7, 2023 which allowed staff to move forward with property acquisition at the southeast corner of Inglewood Avenue and Grant Avenue and initiate project design.
