EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of this item would award a three-year agreement to Vestis to provide uniform services for the Public Works Department. The average annual cost for furnishing, laundering, and delivering uniforms for 80 full-time employees and 20 part time employees will not exceed $38,842, including a 15% contingency. The total proposed not-to-exceed amount for the three-year term is $116,526.

BACKGROUND
Since March 19, 2019, the Public Works Department has contracted with Mission Linen Supply to provide uniform services for approximately 80 full-time and 20 part-time maintenance employees. The services include furnishing uniforms, as well as laundering and delivering them, on a weekly basis. The current agreement with Mission Linen Supply has transitioned to a month-to-month term. As such, the Financial Services Department issued Request for Proposals (RFP) #2425-002 for a longer-term partner and received three responses, listed in order of their proposed annual not-to-exceed costs, including a 15% contingency:

Vestis $38,842
Prudential Overall Supply $39,064
Mission Linen Supply $40,649

In evaluating the proposals, staff considered the firms qualifications/experience, product quality, references, and overall cost. The Public Works Department concluded the proposal submitted by Vestis, formerly known as Aramark, presents the best combination of the four evaluative criteria.
