EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Residential Street Rehabilitation Project (Project), Job No. 40190, is a multi-year capital improvement program intended to maintain and improve the pavement condition of the City's residential streets. The next phase of the program is scheduled to rehabilitate certain streets in Districts 4 & 5 (see the attached map), and was determined by the tri-annual pavement management system report and included in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 CIP Budget. Funding for the planned streets comes from three CIP sources 1) the ongoing/annual residential street rehabilitation program, 2) the next portion of the one-time deferred maintenance allocation (split over multiple projects), and 3) the alleyway resurfacing program, which is limited to alleys with a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) rating of 25 or less.
The plans and specifications for the Project are ready for competitive bidding and are available for review at the Plans and Specifications Review Area located behind the Engineering permit counter at City Hall. The Engineer's estimate for construction of the Project is $3,000,000, with a total project cost estimate of $3,900,000, including contingency and the costs for construction management and inspection. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2025 and take approximately 100 working days to complete. The Project is fully funded, assuming construction bids are received according to estimates.
