EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Kingsdale Avenue Resurfacing Project, Job No. 40880 (Project), is designed to rehabilitate pavement on Kingsdale Avenue from Grant Avenue to 182nd Street using a full-depth reconstruction method. This portion of Kingsdale is a primary corridor for bus and transit vehicles, and serves several commercial properties including the South Bay Social District.

On March 11, 2025, the City Council approved plans and specifications for the Project and authorized competitive bidding. On April 24, 2025, six bids were received and publicly opened. Following staff's review of the bid package and confirmation of the bid tabulation, Sequel Contractors, Inc., with a bid of $1,151,000, was found to provide the lowest responsive bid.

Funds for this Project are available in Capital Improvement Project (CIP), Job No. 40880.

Staff recommends that City Council adopt the resolution awarding the contract for construction of the Project to Sequel Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $1,151,000. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2025 and is estimated to take approximately 50 working days to complete.
