BACKGROUND

The following items are provided as updates and general information regarding recreation and park-related items under the purview of the Public Amenities Commission:

 

Alta Vista Pickleball Courts                     

The agreement with the sound study consultant is in progress with the City Attorney’s office.  Due to other time sensitive items, staff anticipates the agreement being completed and approved by the City Council in early May.  Immediately following approval, staff will coordinate with the consultant to schedule the date of the sound study

 

Events & Activities

                     Eggstravaganza (4/12/2025)

                     Spring Break Camp (4/7-11/2025)

o                     Weekly day camp program from 8:00am to 5:00pm for ages 6-12 held at Perry Park Teen Center.

o                     Pre-registration is required on the City’s website

                     Story Time in the Park (4/13/2025) - free story time event in Wilderness Park from 1:00 - 1:45pm.  All ages welcome!

                     Perry Park Teen Center Open House (4/14/2025)

                     Family Camp Night (6/21/2025)

o                     Wilderness Park

o                     Pre-registration is required on the City’s website

 

                     After School Playground Program

Registration for the 2025-26 school year took place on March 6.  All children that registered for the program (564) were guaranteed a spot, which is the first time since the COVID pandemic that staff could accommodate all families.

 

Summer Camps & Activities
