EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As a member of the Clean Power Alliance of Southern California (CPA), the City has access to grant programs to assist with the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging infrastructure for the City's fleet. Specifically, the CPA promotes an Electric Fleet Transition Program that provides technical and financial assistance in meeting these objectives. Staff has made administrative preparations to enroll in that program and recommends the City Council approve a Clean Power Alliance (CPA) grant agreement for up to $250,000 of funding for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In addition, staff recommends approval of the attached resolution to modify the FY 2025-26 Budget to appropriate the available CPA funding in the Public Works Fleet operating budget. The funds are expected to help install electric charging infrastructure at the Public Works Corporation and Parks Maintenance Yards.

BACKGROUND
The Clean Power Alliance is a community choice energy program that provides electricity to residents and businesses in several areas, including Redondo Beach. On December 19, 2017, the City Council adopted Ordinance No.3179-17, which authorized the City's participation in the Community Choice Aggregation program that was being developed by Los Angeles County.
