EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City received $1,735,000, including $242,845 for design, of Regional Measure M funds for the North Redondo Beach (NRB) Bikeway Extension - Inglewood Ave, Project which will close the bike facility gap between the proposed end of the North Redondo Beach Bikeway at Inglewood Ave. and the intersection of Grant Ave. Some funding was spent to acquire property at the southeast quadrant of that intersection to create space for a bicycle hub. Additionally, the City has allocated funds to extend the NRB Bikeway from its current terminus at Felton Lane to Inglewood Avenue as a separate Regional Measure M project. Final design of that project is being completed and will be submitted to SCE for approval.

Separately, the City Council appropriated $175,000 for the design and installation of a Terraced Native Planting Beautification project at the southeast corner of Inglewood Ave. and Grant Ave., adjacent to the recently purchased parcel. To complete design of the next phase of the bike facility and to begin design of the terraced native planting project, staff has negotiated a professional services agreement with Chen Ryan Associates, dba CR Associates, and their subconsultants to provide conceptual level plans, surveying, and final construction plans, specifications, and estimates for the two projects.
