BACKGROUND
Redondo Beach Code of Ordinances § 2-9.103 provides that "Each board or commission may prescribe its own rules and regulations consistent with the provisions of this Code and in accordance with any ordinances or resolutions governing the operation of said commission. All of such rules or regulations shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and shall be available at all times for inspection by the public.”
The attached draft version of bylaws for the Cultural Arts Commission are based on the bylaws of the former Public Art Commission with additions found in other cities’ bylaws that staff felt the Cultural Arts Commissioners might want to see included in their bylaws.
RECOMMENDATION
Discuss the attached first draft of proposed bylaws for the Cultural Arts Commission and recommend edits or recommend approval to the City Attorney’s Office.
