EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board approved a $600,000 increase to the Regional Measure M funds provided for the North Redondo Beach Bikeway Extension - Felton Lane to Inglewood Avenue Project. Approval of the Amendment will allow the additional funding to be available for the Project.

The Project extends the North Redondo Beach Bikeway from Felton Lane to Inglewood Avenue to improve the multi-modal travel for cyclists and pedestrians. After the initial award, staff proposed installation of solar lighting in an existing adjacent section of the bikeway between Rockefeller Lane and Felton Lane, the only section of the Bikeway without lighting. This amendment to the Funding Agreement is sufficient to cover the solar lighting and the remaining construction closeout costs. To address the light installation and closeout costs in a timely manner, staff proposes to reset the City Engineer's authority to $125,000.
