EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City's current General Services Agreement (GSA) with the County of Los Angeles allows the County to administer traffic signal maintenance related services to the City on an as-needed basis, as requested by the City. The GSA was approved by the City Council on May 23, 2017 and later renewed for the term ending June 30, 2022. As part of the City's current request, the County will be completing the adjustment and repair of the City's traffic signal wireless communication system to allow for improved synchronization and traffic flow in certain areas.
BACKGROUND
The City routinely requests the County of Los Angeles for initial survey and maintenance services for the City's traffic signal network. On April 2018, staff requested County assistance in diagnosing and identifying traffic signal wireless communications related issues within the City. Following the assessment, the County provided estimates for the replacement of various equipment including antennas, cables, access point radios and injectors/switches at every communication-capable intersection which includes the following locations/corridors:

? Catalina Avenue Corridor (Gertruda Avenue to Esplanade)
? Harbor Drive Corridor (Herondo Street to Beryl Street)
? Torrance Boulevard Corridor (Catalina Avenue to Camino Real)
? Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center
? Aviation Boulevard at Grant Avenue
? Aviation Boulevard at Ford Avenue
? Manhattan Beach Boulevard at Vail Avenue
