EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report provides the City Council with an opportunity to discuss the status of the City's Local Emergency pertaining to COVID-19 and to specifically review and give direction on the City's current emergency orders. Attached is the list of orders, which were last considered by the City Council on September 1, 2020, to help facilitate the review and discussion. Additionally, a presentation from Beach Cities Health District staff will be provided at the October 6, 2020 meeting on the District's new "Safe in the South Bay" program.

No changes have been made to the emergency orders since the September 1st City Council meeting. There are four items worth noting: 1) street sweeping parking enforcement resumed on September 21, 2020. 2) the "Outdoor Dining & Sidewalk Sale during COVID-19" special event permit issued to the Riviera Village Association (RVA) has been extended through October 18, 2020 and discussions with RVA representatives regarding modifications to the temporary street infrastructure needed to continue the program into the wet weather months are ongoing. 3) City Park Playgrounds are scheduled to reopen on October 9, 2020. 4) Aviation Park (specifically the Track and Field) and the Veterans Park Fitness Court are scheduled to reopen on October 16, 2020.
