RECOMMENDATION
Receive an update on each subcommittee’s respective projects; and review and affirm each subcommittee’s goals and those commissioners serving on each.
BACKGROUND
The Public Art Commission has a number of active subcommittees that are individually tasked with specific projects. As part of the commission’s ongoing review of the work assigned to its subcommittees, a current subcommittee member will briefly describe the mission of each subcommittee and any projects currently in process. The discussion will provide an opportunity to inform the commission of the current progress of each project; allow commissioners to express their interests, goals, and desires to be involved with these subcommittees; propose new subcommittees for consideration; or modify the number of approved subcommittees. As the commission is currently limited to have its public meetings every other month (i.e., six times in a fiscal year), it is anticipated that the subcommittees will be play a significant role in moving the Commission’s work forward.
