BACKGROUND
As part of the City’s current strategic plan, the Community Services Department is bringing a report to City Council in July 2022 regarding a new facility use plan for the historic library building in Veterans Park, currently known as the Veterans Park Community Center. The Community Services Department has conducted an online survey, held an open house, and conducted community meetings in order to solicit input from the public.
This item was scheduled to be discussed at the Public Art Commission meeting on May 25, 2022, but the meeting was cancelled. A special meeting has been scheduled for June 1, 2022.
Commissioner Nona Janssen Wells compiled information on this item for the Library Commission to discuss. The Library Commission could submit input to the Community Services Department regarding a new facility use plan.
